Production Process

At simpl. we don’t just manufacture — we simplify the entire process so you don’t have to worry about factory management, miscommunication, or quality issues. Whether you’re launching your first collection or scaling an existing one, here’s exactly how it works (download png version):

1. Let’s Connect

We start with a quick intro via email or phone. This isn’t a sales pitch — it’s a conversation. We want to understand:

What kind of socks you’re looking to produce

Your vision (design, function, target audience)

Where you’re at in the journey (early idea, scaling brand, etc.)

You’ll also get to ask us anything — how our process works, pricing structure, lead times, or anything else on your mind. We’re here to collaborate, not just produce.

2. Learn About the Process

Once we’ve connected, we send over a visual or written breakdown of how everything works — just like the graphic you see above. It covers:

Design and material selection

Sample options

Payment & production flow

Shipping and fulfillment

We want you to know exactly what’s ahead before committing. This step gives you the full map — so you’re never in the dark.

3. Design & Materials Discussion

Next, we hop on a detailed call. This is where we dig into the fun (and important) stuff:

Design elements: colors, logos, patterns, length

Performance needs: grip, compression, comfort, etc.

Preferred fabrics: cotton blends, nylon, bamboo, performance knits

Packaging requirements: hang tags, bags, boxes, barcoding

After this call, we send you a simple intake form to summarize everything we discussed and lock in your specs.

4. Intake Form Review

Once you fill out the form, our team reviews it thoroughly. We:

Clarify anything that’s missing or unclear

Flag any technical issues or design tweaks that might help with durability or production efficiency

Confirm sizing, quantities, and your timeline expectations

This step ensures we’re totally aligned before any quoting or production begins.

5. Get Your Quote

After reviewing your intake form and confirming your needs, we send over a clear, no-surprise quote. This includes:

Per-unit cost (based on quantity, materials, and complexity)

Sample pricing (if applicable)

Estimated lead times

Payment terms (typically 50% deposit to begin production)

We’ll also ask if you want to start production right away or begin with a sample run to test everything first.

6. Sample Stage (Optional)

Want to see it before a full order? We’ve got you. If you choose to begin with a sample:

We’ll produce a prototype or small batch based on your approved specs

It takes about 7–10 days

We ship it to you directly

You can test the product’s fit, feel, stretch, grip, and overall look. Let us know if it’s approved — or if tweaks are needed. We’ll revise until you’re satisfied.

7. First Batch Production

Once your sample is approved and the final invoice is paid:

We begin full-scale production of your socks

This takes around 14 days depending on volume and complexity

You’ll receive regular updates so you’re never left wondering

We also handle any special finishing touches — like private labeling, packaging, and retail prep.

8. Delivery & Quality Check

Before anything ships, every order goes through a strict quality inspection:

We check sizing consistency, logo clarity, stitching, elasticity, and more

Only perfect pairs get packed

Then we ship directly to your location. You’ll receive tracking info and a follow-up from us to confirm it arrived in great condition.

9. Ready for the Next Round

Once your first batch is done, we make reordering easy:

All your files, specs, and settings are saved

You can adjust quantities, materials, or colors anytime

We offer bulk pricing and faster turnaround for repeat orders

We’re not a one-and-done shop — we want to grow with your brand.

That’s fine — but staying out of the loop isn’t how most people lead.
